  It is a house with 4 floors. The women pray upstairs and the men on the first floor. In the basement is the mens wudu area and the women have their own on the second floor. The wudu areas are custom built and there are two kitchens in the masjid. The Musallah is a evergreen carpet with a wonderful awning for the khatib. There are quaint wooden carvings to cover the window areas. The masjid is regularly vacuumed and has a library in the basement. Because of the rough street and neighborhood the masjid is locked. But the brothers come to make salah for all five prayers. There are usually at least 10 brothers for each salah (8/12/11) Jumah has around 140 brothers and 20+ sisters. There is a sunday school and a cultural center adjacent to the masjid. There is a parking lot that gets full quickly leaving people to park around the blocks. There are no immediate stores near the masjid as the house is on a residential block. Within 5 blocks there are muslim owned corner stores, fat food restaurants, and so forth. The congregation is diverse with emphasis on West African attendants. Hafiz classes, Taleems, Halaqas, and more are often held throughout the week. This is one of the only masjids in the area that have constant iftars everyday of Ramadan.
